The leaves are changing, and Vermont's Northeast Kingdom is one of the best places in the state to view the colors at their peak. Here in St. Johnsbury, at the southern end of "The Kingdom", you'll find a convenient, walkable town full of activities that celebrate the joys of foliage season. St. J Athenaeum Storytime at Dog Mountain | Saturday, September 24, 10:30am
Dog Mountain, 143 Parks Road
For the kiddos: bring your stuffie pets to Dog Mountain for a very special storytime by the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. After the event take some time to explore the grounds and see how many "Sally" pictures you can find.

Fall Festival of Traditional Crafts | Saturday, September 24, 10am - 4pm
St. Johnsbury History & Heritage Center, 421 Summer Street
FREE! Learn about traditional crafts of the region through demonstrations and hands-on experiences. Exhibits include candle making, quilting, spring pole lathe, and even a Civil War-era traveling forge.

"Ulam" Film Viewing & Celebration of Pica Pica's 5th Anniversary | Sunday, September 25, 3pm
Catamount Film & Arts, 115 Eastern Avenue
Come celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pica Pica Filipino Cuisine--voted the best place to eat Filipino food in Vermont by Food & Wine Magazine--with a special viewing of "ULAM", a documentary following the rise of the cuisine in America, and refreshments. St. J Final Fridays! | Friday, September 30, 4pm - 7:30pm
Events take place on Railroad St & Eastern Ave.
FREE! Catamount Arts, Discover St. Johnsbury, and the Town of St. Johnsbury have one last St. J Final Friday event planned for you. Join us from 4pm-6pm for the St. J Art on the Street Gallery Stroll, featuring art exhibitions and activities at a dozen locations around town. Businesses will also stay open late and host activities. At 6:00pm, come to Railroad Street to enjoy a Facing the Sunrise Black Performing Artists Series concert, featuring the Dwight & Nicole Trio: Soul on a Rocket presented by Clemmons Family Farm in partnership with Catamount Arts. The Kingdom Taproom beer garden will open at 5:30pm.

​Let's Get Cookin' Yard Sale | Saturday, October 1, 8am - 3pm
United Community Church, 1325 Main Street
Visit the church for a mega yard sale (purchases by donation), plus a chili cook-off and pie contest, with all proceeds going towards the UCC's kitchen fund to help finish the remodeling of their kitchen, damaged by a broken pipe last year.

St. J Distillery Speakeasy, 74 Eastern Ave.
​St. Johnsbury Distillery, Kingdom Taproom & Table, and Whirligig Brewing are teaming up to bring you a delicious evening filled with locally-crafted Oktoberfest-themed libations, plus live music, and lots more fun.

Facing the Sunrise Black Performing Artist Series, featuring Mikahaley | Saturday, October 8, 7pm
Catamount Arts' ArtPort, Green Mountain Mall, 2000 Memorial Drive
FREE! Clemmons Family Farm, in partnership with Catamount Arts, presents Mikahely, a self-taught musician from Madagascar, as part of the Facing the Sunrise Black Performing Arts Series. The series aims to engage audiences with stellar performances that celebrate and teach the Black Experience with positive and uplifting messages from the Black artist community.
