2023 Summer Events Internship

Learn about managing and executing community events featuring dozens of vendors and thousands of attendees during an exciting and busy summer season. Discover St. Johnsbury is seeking support for two event series in downtown St. Johnsbury in the summer of 2023: St. J Final Fridays (on the final Friday of June, July & August) and the Food Truck Popup @ The Pavilion (on the second and fourth Tuesday of the same period). Tasks will include outreach and communication with event vendors, as well as maintenance of the event website, support for event outreach, and similar. Day-of support on most event dates is particularly needed, with a commitment to supporting two or more evening events per month desired. During this internship, students will gain event management skills like vendor tracking, permitting requirements, relationship management with a variety of stakeholders, and production skills that would be desired by any number of businesses or nonprofits.

Qualifications: An ideal intern would be detail-oriented, able to think and act independently, outgoing, and have some experience managing events (even if it's just planning a birthday party, or club activities, etc.)
