Did you see St. Johnsbury's feature in the latest issue of Vermont Sports, highlighting the VOREC grant the town has received to support outdoor recreation centered on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail? We are extremely excited to be part of the team helping those projects to take shape. While you wait, you can take advantage of the explosive growth in bike amenities & happenings in St. Johnsbury this spring.

Our friends at NEK Prosper, the Bike & Pedestrian Committee, the Energy Committee, LINK Vermont, and Local Motion have dreamt up a fabulous set of (free!) events to celebrate bike culture all throughout May. Read on to learn more about what they've planned, and to find out about the great opportunities for bikers of all kinds in St. J this month and beyond.

If you're picking the bikes up at their location in St. Johnsbury Center, try this suggested gravel loop courtesy of NEK Gravel.

But wait, there's more!

Caledonia Trail Collaborative is adding a new 1.7 mile machine-built flow trail for mountain bikers at the St. Johnsbury Town Forest, scheduled to open in early June. They've collaborated with Whirligig Brewing to create a fundraiser beer, sales of which help to fund construction efforts. Follow along for updates: www.facebook.com/caledoniatrailcollaborative

St. Johnsbury based bike touring guide Land Animal Adventures leads a weekly no-drop gravel meet-up every Tuesday at 5:30pm from the LVRT Trailhead Pavilion at 195 Bay Street. In the summers, rides tend to end at the Milkhouse for a classic creemee. Details can be found on our Calendar, and last minute weather changes will be posted on Instagram at @landanimaladventures.
