Kingdom Maple Festival on Saturday, April 22 is downtown St. Johnsbury's day to celebrate our status as the "Maple Center of the World". As part of the festival, we've challenged our local restaurants and food vendors to highlight Vermont maple products on their menus all during that weekend. Check out the specials available at the following restaurants and food vendors during the weekend of April 21 - 23, 2023. Boule - St. Johnsbury's artisanal bakery is pulling out all the stops, with several special items made with their family's own maple from LaLiberte Family Sugarhouse (165 Maple Ridge Road, West Charleston, Vermont). Get their early to grab enticing Maple-Candied Bacon Sourdough, Maple Panna Cotta, and Maple Walnut Oatmeal Bars. Plus, they can add local maple to any espresso drink you like. Open daily, 7am - 5pm.
If you've visited Kingdom Crust Co., you'll know that there's no going back once you taste their Maple Kingdom Fries, featuring Vermont maple butter and pretzel salt. In addition, they will be running specials for the weekend on several items on their regular menu including their Maple Bacon Burger, Maple BBQ Wings, and Burke Mountain Pizza with maple drizzle. Cosmic Cup Cafe has delicious Maple Lattes and Maple-Glazed Cinnamon Rolls made with Deep Woods Maple (Granby, Vermont), and will be featuring maple in their specials and baked goods all weekend. Open Monday thru Friday 7am - 4pm, Saturday 8am - 2pm, and Sunday 9am- 1pm. Yummies @ The Star will have two maple flavors of Vermont-made Wilcox Ice Cream available all weekend. They're also running a $1 kiddie cone special on during the Kingdom Maple Festival from 10am to 3pm on April 22. Open Tuesday thru Sunday, 11am - 7:30pm. The Kitchen Counter Cafe's soft serve machine is humming, and they'll be offering Maple Creemees all weekend! Keep an eye out for specials on homemade Pancakes topped with local syrup from Mooreland Farm (Peacham, Vermont), and their delicious Maple, Bacon, Cheeseburger served with fries. Open Thursday thru Tuesday 8am - 3pm (Closed Wednesdays). Central Cafe will have oodles of maple on the menu that weekend, including Maple Lattes, Maple Cheesecake, Maple Bacon Danishes, Blueberry Maple Cupcakes, Maple Ham Eggs Benny, French Toast, and lots more! Open daily, 10am - 5pm. Whirligig Brewing will have fresh Maple Beers on tap made with syrup from Chandler Hill Farm (Peacham, Vermont). St. Johnsbury Distillery - Vermont maple is always on the menu, with three products featuring the sweet stuff created with Big Buck Maple (802-684-3668, Danville, Vermont) grade A Vermont maple syrup: Vermont Vodka is 100% Vermont maple syrup, fermented and distilled four times to create a clear spirit, and Dunc's Maple Rum and Dunc's Dark Maple Rum present slightly different profiles. Kingdom Table & Taproom is proud to serve locally-procured products all throughout their menu, and local maple syrup from Happy Hill Maple Farms (Lyndonville, Vermont) is no exception. At Kingdom Taproom, you'll find Maple Habanero Bacon on our Table Nachos and BLT. At Kingdom Table, enjoy our Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned and special for the festival, a Maple Crème Brûlée. On the date of the festival only: Kingdom Table will be open for lunch at 11am with outdoor seating! Taproom Hours: Open Wednesday & Thursday 4 - close and Friday thru Sunday noon - close. Table Hours: Open Thursday thru Saturday, 4 - 9pm, and Monday 4 - 8pm. Locally Social can add real maple from the local Bennett Family Farm Stand to make any beverage a celebration of the season, including their Maple Cold-Brewed Iced Coffee. Oh, and have you tried their Maple Pecan Croissants? Open Monday thru Friday, 6:30am - 4pm, Saturday 6:30am - 1pm. (Closed Sunday). Sweet Seasons Farm & Artisan Confections has delicious year-round maple treats, with some particularly featured this season, including, Maple Caramel Truffles, Maple Thin Snap Toffee, Salted Maple Peanut Patties, and St. Johnsbury Distillery Maple Rum Chocolate Truffles. Papa Tirozzi's will be part of the street fair during Kingdom Maple Festival, but you can also find their delicious Vermonter pizza with maple drizzle from Morse Farm Sugarworks (Montpelier, Vermont) in the shop all weekend. Open Tuesday thru Saturday from 11am - 7pm. Anthony's Diner has all of the classic diner breakfast items that you can dream of, designed to be slathered in syrup from local producer Goodwin Family Maple (St. Johnsbury, Vermont). Make sure to save room for their signature Vermont Maple Walnut Pie. Open Thursday & Friday from 8am - 8pm, Saturday thru Monday 8am - 3pm. (Closed Tuesdays). Boxcar & Caboose makes their Maple Lattes with syrup from local producer Goodwin Family Maple (St. Johnsbury, Vermont). Open daily: Monday through Saturday 9am - 5pm, Sunday 10am - 3pm.
