America's 250th Birthday |
St. Johnsbury, Vermont celebrates America's 250th Birthday with a parade, bandstand concert, 250 free ice cream cones, and more on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

10:30am ~ Parade on Main StreetThe parade will depart from the Four Seasons Park (Main & Winter Street) at 10:30am and end at Courthouse Park shortly before 11am.

Interested in being part of the parade? Line up is at 10:00am at the Father Lively Center, led by the VFW. Join in the Bike Parade! Arrive at the Four Seasons Park to decorate your bike at 9:30am. Wear your St. J Rec Department shirt for a free prize!

11:00am ~ Ceremony & ConcertJoin us at Courthouse Park for remarks and a concert following the parade. Activities include:
The Daughters of the American Revolution will be handing out American Flags and American's Creed pocket cards. St. Johnsbury Athenaeum will hand out copies of the Declaration of Independence. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the concert. Other Events on July 4:>> St. Johnsbury Athenaeum offering free guided tours of the building at noon, 1pm, and 2pm. >> Kids Activities hosted by St. Johnsbury Community HUB & Town of St. Johnsbury Recreation Department, at Four Seasons Park following the ceremony. >> Luncheon hosted by Legion Auxiliary, at American Legion Post #58, 12:30 - 2pm. Menu: Finger rolls, salad, chips, veggies & fresh fruit, cookies, by donation. Drinks available for purchase. >> St. Johnsbury Farmers Market, Pearl Street & Eastern Avenue, 9am - 1pm. |
